FYI, the song was cut from the original theater release and was not fully animated till later video releases, due in part to its success on Broadway. Story has it that Howard Ashman, who wrote the story & the song's lyrics, was diagnosed with AIDS at the time of the song's writing. This was a reflection of his feelings on how he and other AIDS patients were treated at the time. I know our cast knew this story and put that feeling into the song. Greg aka Maurice

This is absolutely fantastic!! The costumes... The actors.. it's the best rendition of this song that Iv seen. My only complaint is Belle. Shes obviously vey talented,but plays the role a little too fake for me, but the rest of the cast makes me forget about that small opinion. Bravo!

The Broadway version is better than the movie version. The movie version is great and all, but it sounds like just another song (a good song to be sure, but there's not a lot of emotion in it). In the Broadway version, they sound like they actually want to be human again and they're looking forward to it with great excitement.
