  • thsi si amazing i love ethnic music ,.. my father loves world music liek paddy ... i love to learn more iam a huge kate bush fancy and what i notice about her early workd that paddy would play all sort sof interasting interments ... in kates music ,.. i think it is very inportant .. the sounds are beauitful fruitful for the ears .. paddy a brillent player and a huge part in the music world too!!

  • This documentary is amazing - beautifully filmed and thoughtfully put together. Paddy Bush is a walking encyclopedia on Malagasy music and an accomplished valiha and marovany player. Fantastic to see this clip on Youtube.

  • I stayed at Antananarivo in 1st May 1978.

    There I heard a valiha player who impressed me very much. But what did I see this very night at Antananarivo:

    The player held this instrument not being supported between the knees or under one arm; no, he was playing it hanging free between his hands - without any other support !!! It was unbelievable, and he played it like from heaven.

    I am happy to notice the widespread interest for this instrument lanced by the presentation via internet.
