@PixxyLixxx Hey man sorry for not anwsering before, but there was not Youtube at my work. How do i Set Sonar in midi???
-
@ikbenpablo Exactly, either MIDI cable or USB will do it, but your computer will need a "MIDI In" on it (mine is on my Tascam audio card) or a USB (which every computer has). So USB is the more likely one to just work, assuming your keyboard can send midi over USB (almost all of them can). Once it's connected to the computer, it should appear in the "Midi Devices" window (under the Options menu). Make sure it's enabled and you should be good to go.

@PixxyLixxx Ok I almost got it hahahaha. Let see... so my keyboard has Midi ports and USB port. So either way i can connected to my computer, but if I´m using the USB cable should I set SONAR in MIDI??? or it is different? You know... It will be great if you do a tutorial on the setting xD. Sorry to disturb you anyway hahaha is just that I'm very very interested in using those sounds. Thank you so much for the awnsers.

@ikbenpablo Yes, Windows will recognize the hardware and then it will appear in the Sonar MIDI settings. Just make sure the keyboard is selected as the MIDI in (or omni) and Omnisphere will definitely work. That's what I'm doing in this video, using Sonar as the host and my old PC88mx as the controller via midi. I just set Sonar to use my midi in and it works every time. You should be able to do the same with USB.

@PixxyLixxx Ok i have a fp5 ronland keyboard with a USB cable port. I have my laptop with Sonar 6 producer edition instaled which i use it to record my music. So if i intall Spectrasonics Omnisphere on my laptop how can i play its sounds directly from my roland?? Do I just conected to my computer and the program will recognize it itself? I would love to know this. Thanks for you awnsers.
DOES OMNISPHERE CONTAIN HORN OR TRUMPET SOUNDS CUZ ON ALL THE DEMOS I MOSTLY HEAR SYNTH PRESET SOUDS...AND IM THINKN ABOUT GETTING IT

@arcadeMUZIK1 No, it's not for traditional instruments. It's more for synth patches, pads and string stuff. For traditional instruments, just use a sampler.

@PixxyLixxx They have a whole variety of sounds in omnisphere..... It is also a sampler and thats where alot of these sounds are based from..... To say that its only for synths sounds would be a huge miscalculation of this awesome synth/rompler/sampler ...

@andrewb214 Omnisphere is deep, but it's not a panacea. I love it for many sounds, but for a saxophone (or most wind/brass) I'd use Kontakt or Mr. Sax, and for a piano I'd use The Grand or PianoTeq. For drums I prefer to use Superior Drummer. I love Omnisphere, but it does have some weaknesses. As a synth, though, it's probably the best on market.
