Definately better than the stupif Google Ads that I see all around free apps. Haven't seen any in pay apps so far and that's good. Actually some of the ads are quite fun to explore :P You know…when you're trying to procrastinate :D

If I bought an iAd, it would be more of a how to use the iPhone/iTouch and a promotion for Ubuntu in a dual-boot.

Do not want. There isn't enough screen real-estate on a phone to be using part of it to force ads. In a web browser on a monitor they're out of the way, not intruding on your working/reading area... but on a screen that small, you want all the space you can get. Oh well, there will no doubt be a way to disable this on your jailbroken iPhone.
