BCIT New Media Design and Web Development program Promotional Video

This promotional video is one of the assignments of Video&Audio editing.

BCIT is a career focused school, and that means they focus on teaching what we need to enter the industry.
You can learn the necessary design skills while getting a head start.
We are taught by professionals in the media design industry.
They gave us first-hand understanding in the current industry standards, and help us in building our careers in media design.
This program helps you learn, but at the same time encourages you to expand your skill set and try different projects.

We focus on learning the technology behind web designs.
We learned html, javascript, php.
We also learn about different online services, what's available to us, and how we can utilize them for all kinds of work.
We get to use the entire adobe suite and many video and sound editing software.
We learned not only the tools, and also the skills and the know-how's.
We learned how to design the visuals, the aesthetics, and how to deliver information efficiently.
We learned about content organizations, layouts according to human behaviours, and how to use them to enrich our website's contents.
In the end, we became more well rounded as designers in all aspects of media productions.

This is a 1 year program, meaning you will be getting a 12 months worth of education.
In the first term we learned the basics of image processing.
In the second term we learned to design information, and how to deliver them efficiently and aesthetically.
In the third and the fourth term we learn more advanced ways to use the tools we've already learned, and generally how to sell, how to present our works to audiences to get the maximum effect.
Before we graduate we get to work for real industries with assistance from the program. We get to gain real world experience in the design industry.


The program is offered in both the downtown campus and the Burnaby campus.
The downtown campus is located in the center of the commercial district.
It's easy to access through public transit from anywhere in the lower main land.
More importantly, students get to observe the current trend in media design, and can be exposed to innovations and new things.
The main classroom is located in the Burnaby campus that is right next to many software companies such as Nokia, EA games, and many other media production companies.
Students can be more involved in school communities.

im a high school starting this at a school near me and i wanted to know is it easy? cause im trying to figure out my future and iv always been into designing and stuff but i wanted to know if its really hard to do or is it easy and fun to get into. please respond :3 thanks
