Norbeck Castle Hotel leak

During stay at Norbeck Hotel, we experienced terrible 'yellow' leaking from above our bathroom and the plaster on the roof looked ready to collapse.
This was made worse by the very unhelpful staff.

The first night, there was no leaking but the hole was there as can be seen in the video.
On returning from our evening out on the second night, we found this leaking was occurring and getting heavier and heavier.
We went to find help, as this was both worrying and disgusting, but there was no-one on duty in the lobby or anywhere to be found.
In the morning, we called them twice to come up and see - again we were ignored.
We moved all our stuff out of the room - afraid that the roof might collapse!
We really didn't want to pay for either night, as this issue has obviously occurred before - looking at the state of the roof - the hotelier should really have had the problem fixed before re-hiring out the room. At suggesting this, the receptionist became quite shirty - but would never agree to go and check out the problem.

As we were walking out of the front lobby, the fire alarm went off - I can only imagine that it was caused by that roof collapsing - but did not feel the need to go back and look.

I am writing this in the hope that it might forewarn others both about the quality of the hotel and the customer service that we received during our stay - and I would wager that this was not an isolated incident!

iv stayed there a few times and never had a room with a toilet as bad as that. even if there was no leak the toilet still looks like s**t

Oh dear that doesn't look good! Did they move you? We stayed there 3 weeks after you and it was all right. Apart from the massive queue for check in!!
