then we will need a mass effort to build distributed forms of power such as wind turbines, like your barrel savonious VAWT's ... too many wasted potentially useful things out there, not enough people doing anything about it...
1:40 i keep thinking.... put the camera down and grab that 3rd guy rope! thats what i would have done when people were trying to erect a guyed pole structure in front of me, especially in windy conditions like that...

This is great! totally awesome that you had the opportunity to do this.
I have one question, the link for the wind turbine sends me to a link about german wine haha. Is the link messed up, or does the that website not exist anymore or something?

good work !
This is so awsume and I'm glad to see that out in a remote area electricity can be made for people that really deserve this. But all humans need to learn to be free from the ties of nuke or any non earth friendly means!! Thanks for this video.

@TheBillythekid2010 Thanks for the kind comments. But realistically I think we may need nuclear power and other forms of power for economic reasons over the next 50 years to allow us to migrate smoothly to alternative energy. Especially with electric cars coming out like the Nissan Leaf, we will have huge demands for electricity very soon.
