They've gotta make it so that the legs are completely upright and straight when they make a step. Or else joint fractures ensue.

...no kidding i just sayed it would look cool if u put strider skin all... i don't care if it shoots or that it uses completely different walking style..

well striders in half life 2 aren't even robots. they are actually some alien spiders and just half robots. so their head can't go like that

I know... It's just how they were built. It WOULD be cool if they did that, but the design would have to be changed.
