whats up everybody. here are some video clips that we took over the summer while swimming/jumping at two soapstone quarries here in central virginia. the cliffs we were jumping off of ranged in height from small (10 feet or so on some of the lower ledges) to legendary (42 feet is the highest). watch the end for probably the best quarry jump of the year...

theres a quarry in knoxville TN, i used swim there until one day the police found the body of a woman that had been murdered lol, i always imagined an abandoned quarry was a nice place to hide dead people.

i used to cannon ball heights like that. the splash comes back up higher than the rocks. no pain either

The quarry by me doesnt look quite as cool as this one. However, we have one pretty high drop (people call it the 100. I believe it is more like 75-80). I've seen many people go off it. It sounds awful when they hit. Our quarry (as Im sure many are) is usually packed with drunk people. Its hilarious though because will do anything. I've seen some pretty sweet front and back flips off a swing we have. And a bunch of gainers of a 45 foot drop. Crazy stuff. Cool vid, btw.

Thanks man. 80 feet sounds freaking intense! Yeah we usually have a lot of drunk people doing crazy stupid awesome stuff that nobody in their right mind would do... its pretty great.

The first song (that only plays for 30 seconds or so) is "Mother, We Just Can't Get Enough" by the New Radicals. The second song that plays the whole way through is "We Are One Tonight" by Switchfoot.

It's right near Schuyler, VA (a tiny little town sort of near Charlottesville).
