@JulieNicoleSays It should be passion but it is unfair to expect them to be absolute masters of battement out of passion. Numbers are okay and it doesn't make them any less respected.

It's a shame that the teacher doesn't allow them dancing without "counting" the dance..
ballet is not only gymnastics, they should learn to dance the music too and develope as artists. THey are good enough and grown enough to follow the music by themselves...
