How old do you have to be to do this?

This is a great behind the scenes tour Disney offers. It is just over 3 hours long and costs somewhere over $40 per person, but is well worth the price. These folks who work on this railroad are some of the greatest people you'll meet, they really do like what they are doing and take great pride in their jobs. Take this tour if your ever at WDW.

I don’t know exactly. I did see children as young as 7 or 8. But they got bored with the history talks that the train engineers gave. I won’t recommend it for young children unless they are really into train history. The roundhouse is only a small potion of a "3-hour" tour.

For this tour you arrive before the park opens. If things go according to plan you are part of the opening ceremonies waving from the train platform to guests coming thru the gates. Unfortunately the day we went they had a problem and we had to leave the platform early. It was still a great tour. During the 3 hours there is a lot of Disney train history from the veteran train engineers. Some of these parts of tour may not keep young guests attention.
