siezure? Conversion disorder, migraine.

This is what happens in the begining of what I call an attack or episode....usually starts with slowed speech, stuttering along with the eyes....these can go into full body attacks with muscle spasms and jerking..or just stay in the face....seems the more I try to move or speak the problems spread

well ok..the latest..diagnoses..mentally dg with ptsd..anxiety disorder, mild agoraphobia, major depression, had a great PA but she had to relocate, sed rate was up.. she was very knowledge in auto immune disease and guaranteed me that this was a reel auto-immune and part mental, seeing as i have both..what came first the chicken or the egg. so the journey continues

I:m not afraid to tell my story nor do I hide behind any emotional trauma but the criteria for conversion disorder shouldn't have come after a 30 min apt.. at the specialist...everything ive read thats not correct,,,so how are the symptoms to be treated until then...when someone has pain where they cry or can:t walk....ugggghhh

Once again the attacks are still present n I can't find any Dr.s with the knowledge to help me..my life is crumbling before me and I try to stay positive ..but really everyone has a breaking point I take everyones suggestions n do research but my dr.s all disregard me God give me strength

@leleroxit, are you seeing medical doctors or mental health doctors? If it's the first set, they won't know much about it. I suffer at times too, only the left side of my body goes numb or at times just my left leg.

@amberfwn no..no mental health pro..anywhere near me that can even touch conversion disorder..so i:m going to try n move to pittsburgh....If truly a conversion disorder can it happen while unconscious?...i:m lost n frustrated...god bless u n good luck

@leleroxit You are going through alot but hold to God's promises He has given. find them, say them, believe in Faith ,rest in the fact you believe him and He can't lie.It's our hope doctors are helpful but very limited.

sounds like dystonia ! they say one of the effects is your voice being reduced to a whisper and muscle spasams just like the ones your having

@lhohneklab i have conversion disorder.. it's hard to explain really, you want too speak, and in your head your saying "SPEAK" and it's like your body doesn't obey you.. it sucks

hey! i have conversion disorder too! since i was 15.. i'm 20, i have horrible episodes too... very violent, the best advice i could give, besides going to the doctor, and take your pills...is to RELAX !!!! it's hard... but you can control this! try it, when you feel it coming, try to control it and relax... good luck!!! PLUS when your anger scream, when yur sad cry, not hold it in anymore, you gotta let it out :)

Look up the movie "Awakening's" with Robert DeNiro. I can't remember the name of the disease that he has, but this reminds me of it.

Okay, I will ask a question to the people who are reading this. Do you think it is right to label someone with conversion disorder after 1 mri head scan and 1 20 minut EEG? Because from looking at the screen in the Doctor's room that is what I saw in my records. I don't think this is right, just laziness on their part. What do people think?
