For the first time ever, the federal government will launch a nationwide test of the emergency alert broadcast system Wednesday, November 9th (November 8).

I wish EVERYONE would see this for what it really is... A way to take complete control of our airwaves, computers, radios and phones. The only emerg. we have 2 worry about in this country is from our own govt.. They are the ones stripping us of our freedoms, treating us like terrorists at the airports and making up prove our innocence during routine traffic stops. When they decide to implement matial law on the people.. they need to make sure people in Kansas cant warn people in Florida til done

this is completely dumb yet at the same time sounds like a good idea, see if it works, then you wonder, why they would do it now and not so many times before? when we had real causes for such uses and real needs for the testing of such a system. there are way too many coinciding facts with this and too many ironic details open minded people will notice but close minded people will shun. ugh....

@umustwantme: You hit the nail dead on the head. I came here to say the exact samething but you beat me to it and that is just fine with me as long as it was stated for the record. Some will come and call you paranoid or a conspiracy theorist.....but no matter because they made fun of Noah too when he tried to warn them. What do they feel they need to test it for? Is it about stirring fear, preparations for the event of cracking down on our rights (martial law) or about something else they're not telling us? Perhaps it's all of the above.

yes they did. But it didn't happen on all the channels and some channels got a signal with Lady Gaga's song. Some channels switched over to C-SPAN. It was a mess. But it was only a test, they still have to work out the bugs.

@GaiGai13 I just read today (after the test) that the feds are mulling over doing the same test "for the net".

Let's face it, the net is what is driving them nuts since it allows the free flow of info & consensus that counters the official garbage that they expect us to swallow on TV.
