  • Fantastic video. I moved to Kings Langley in 2007 and this really fills out my knowledge of the village history...many thanks

  • @nascot10 Thanks for your comments and your idea of blue plaques. I will pass this on to the History Society.

  • Thanks Keith for taking the time to produce such a lovely video. Your description of Kings Langley was wonderful. I enjoyed watching the video and admire your memory.

  • @Thegadgetfaneagle Thanks - I will pass on your comments to Keith.

  • I enjoyed the video and hearing of Keiths recollections of past times in Kings Langley. There was also some good photos and old cine film that was interesting. I get a sense that Kings Langley was once a place with a strong sense of identity and community. Like many other places it has changed over the years with new housing and an ever growing population. In 50 years will the remaining green fields be covered in houses?

  • @Roolooth99 I hope you are wrong about the fields but probably not. I have only lived here for 26 years and I can't go down to the High Street without meeting someone I know, the sense of community hangs on - so far.

  • It would be nice to incorporate this knowledge into village blue plaques or alike which the school or just residents could use for history walks. For example, there is the air raid shelter in Rockliffe Park woods which i always thing would be fascinating to mark with a board or alike and bring children down to bring history to life.
