Seattle Police officials say they have a number of concerns regarding the violent tactics an officer used in dealing with a pair of teenage girls recently.

A witness recorded this video of a confrontation between Officer Ian Walsh and two girls who he tried to cite for jaywalking.

When he tries to bring them over to his patrol car they become antagonistic. That's when the officer punches one of the girls in the face.

Department officials said their officers are trained to throw a punch in certain situations ... and the department will withhold judgment until an investigation is complete.

Civil rights activists are outraged and say the punch was an action of anger not self defense.

The incident comes weeks after another high profile video where Seattle Police were caught on camera kicking a man they thought was a robbery suspect.

Congressman Bob Etheridge, D-NC, assaulted a college student who simply asked him, "Do you fully support the Obama agenda"?

"Rep. Bob Etheridge, a Democrat, is seen in the amateur video grabbing the wrist and neck of the unidentified man after he approached him and asked if he supported the 'Obama agenda.'" reported Fox News.

He grabbed the college student by the wrist and neck several times, repeatedly asking "Who are you?"

CBS News said, "'Bob Etheridge has lost it,' National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Jon Thompson said in a statement. 'His conduct is unbecoming of a member of Congress. It's bad enough that he's joined Obama's assault on North Carolina jobs, but his physical assault on a college student goes beyond the pale.'"

DALLAS -- Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young was issued a Class C assault citation after an incident at a Dallas-area strip club early Sunday morning.

Video surveillance shows Young trying to get through people surrounding a man indentified as Creiton Kinchen inside an office at Club Onyx after Creiton apparently insulted Young and made a derogatory sign referencing the University of Texas, Young's alma mater. A brief scuffle ensues.


"[Kinchen's comments] obviously made Mr. Young upset," Dallas police Lt. Craig Miller said. "That conversation continues and there was more accusations against the University of Texas which prompted, in this case, Mr. Young to come back into the room where he just about exited."

According to the police report, Kinchen sustained a bloody lip in the fight, but did not require medical attention.

The video shows Young conversing with Kinchen and a man indentified by police as the club's manager calmly before nearly exiting the room. Kinchen then flashed an upside-down "Hook 'em Horns" hand sign, causing Young to retaliate. Bystanders attempted to breakup the fight and the lights were briefly turned off before Young exited the room.
