This is called as 'Officetel'. not an apartment. :
Korean Apartment is larger and has over 2 separated rooms and plus separated living room.

@lostindiancamp it's a chance to travel and get a great salary, immerse yourself in a totally different culture!
the economy certainly doesn't help... but loads of people do it by choice.

Why do so many English teachers from the US and Canada go to Japan and Korea to teach? Are you not able to find a job in your own country or is this your choice? I am interested because I have seen no less than 50 videos from teachers.

most do it to pay off college fees. some want a new experience or are looking for a Korean wife or husband. many reasons, but usually to pay off college fees.

eboniyoyo is correct. usually peopel come here to pay off their debts and see the world. but a lot are here now because of the poor economy back home!

well, my place is probably bigger and nicer than most places teachers get set up with. i'd say out of 10 places mine would be 2nd or 3rd biggest. if ur school covers you u dont have to worry, but i heard my place was 650 000 won. but u have to remember that includes 'key money'... which is like 10 grand that u have to put in to keep the rent low. if you got any other quesitons private msg me, i never check this video!!
