Chris Boardman Q&A - Wiggle

Boardman bikes have grown in popularity hugely over the last few years. The brand has catapulted itself from "unknown" to "mainstream" in an incredibly short time frame. "Boardman" on the downtube might have allot to say, but when you see these bikes up close, you quickly realise why the brand is becoming so well respected.

Boardman won multiple hill climb titles in the UK and to this day still holds some course records on hilly/mountain time trial courses.

It was his recovery (or inability to recover during stage races) that would have prevented him winning Le Tour, not his lack of climbing ability.

I don't think Boardman claims to be greater than Merckx. That would be absurd - Merckx is possible the greatest ever. On the flip side Boardman did break his hour record drug free.....

personally think it takes the piss why cant all bikeshops sell them? i like some of the boardman bikes but damned if i will buy 1 due to the fact that halfords holds the monopoly.fair trading i think not :(
