The first music video by the Boston based acoustic trio City of Roses. The video features Pleasure Island Road an original composition by the band as well as film footage from the famed theme park which was located in Wakefield, MA.

  • oh my god. do you have any other videos, pictures, or information of pleasure island wakefield massachusetts 1959-1969. it's my dream place, although about 48 (or 38) years before my time.

  • We got the video footage from the Friends of Pleasure Island. This is the only shot of the whale that they sent us. They had a website but it is down right now for maintenance. Sorry but that's all the info I have.

  • As of about 15 years ago or so, The Whale was still in the pond it was in... i did not see it firsthand, but someone had jumped in and said it was still there...not sure if it was or still is, but would be interesting to find out. Pleasure island was after my time, But i grew up near by, and My dad worked there as a kid...

  • the image of the clipper cove light house brought tears to my eyes, as well as the whale MOVING. i only saw one other video of the whale moving,and it was only 15 seconds long.
