What is your tracking technique? And how do you find focus on a plane?

Finding the focus is really the hardest thing. It´s pretty much trial and error. As a first rough setting i try to focus on the trails that are being left behind by the planes, they stay alive some time and don´t move too much. Then i track a plane with the seeker scope and record a video. Afterwards i look at the video in the notebook i have nearby the telescope and check out if the focus was good. If not, i adjust the focus slightly and go for another try.
