They should reopen it . Texas Department of Criminal Justice units like the Hughs unit are just as run down if not worse than modern day alcatraz .

actually, they cought one in the late 90's i think. he was drunk inside a telephone booth one rainy night. he was dying of cancer and told the police, do you even know who i am?

Very interesting documentary. I´ve visited Alcatraz 10 years ago and shot there a documentary around Robert Stroud. I just posted it as an video answer. Apologize, it´s in german. The film has won several prizes on german amateur movie maker festivals.
