I think that the expense of iracing keeps some of the "hey, lets have a demo derby" types out, which is worth it.

coming from the state where the SK division was started... that sounds DAMN near the real thing. at least the noise from the camera on the front stretch when the cars are approaching, sounds like I'm at Thompson in turn 3!

Iracing can get expensive if you buy all the content that is available, but it's a one time deal that you pay for your tracks and cars. Once you have that, it's a cheap accurate sim that has alot to offer for years to come.

This is sooooo much more than a game. It's an ever-evolving simulator.
You get what you pay for. Cost is nominal considering what you get. It's not some game you buy and play the same stuff over and over again. If something is flawed, they actually fix it. They encourage input from racers and act on most of it. New cars and tracks all the time. You have to experience it to understand why it's worth it. You also have a chance of racing with many real world drivers.
