i love how you can hear the ignitors at 9 seconds

@MultiRedneck62 so did my dad!!

I was a crewchief on these during the early 80s at wheeler afb Hawaii. It was great aircraft to work on!

@poodleslayer Tu-95 pilots get permanent ear damage, still awesome job though.

Turboprops are much lighter than piston engines for the amount of power they produce. They're also simpler, and so are more reliable. Also, a spinning motion is far less stressful on components than a reciprocating motion is.
Another advantage is that since most turboprops run at a constant speed, with the propeller blade angle increasing to absorb any tendency to accelerate, they have very quick power response.

The blade tips of the Tu-95 "Bear's" props are also supersonic. And like the T-6, it's known for its noise.

Direct drive, sounds like a Garrett. It wasnt even running yet... lol
OV-10A propeller rotational speed at 100%---2000rpm.Engine rotational speed at 100% RPM ---41,730RPM.

The OV-10A aircraft is powered by two Garrett-AiResearch T-76-G (TPE-331) series fixed-shaft turboprop engine,rated at 715 shaft horsepower.The major engine components consist of the reduction gearbox.The propellers are counter-rotating, enabled by the use of different gearboxes.

I wonder if the prop is direct drive?
or if there is a reduction gear,
or transmission between the prop and the turbine.

The OV10A T76 turbine engine has a gear box.
