Somerville, MA Wins All-America City Award 2009 - 6.19.09

On June 19, 2009, Mayor Joseph Curtatone and over thirty representatives from the city, including municipal, business, non-profits, ethnic organizations, and youth helped Somerville, Massachusetts win the All-America City Award for 2009. My God how proud this makes me! My Great Grandparents Moved here from Italy, they ended up on Lowell Street and raised 5 kids in this city! My GRANDPARENTS bought one of the first houses on Boston AVe, My Mom still resides there! This makes me BEAM! I love this city (wish we had more parking !!LOL)

Somerville is the best community to live in. I have been a resident for 35 years and will probably be here until my demise. I used to say I was from Cambridge, many years ago, but now I am PROUD to be from Somerville. Mayor Joe ROCKS!
