A 50-100 year blizzard paralyzed the Oklahoma City metro with more than 14.1" of snow making it the all time biggest snowstorm in Oklahoma history! At one point in the storm, the entire metro was shut down with all interstates and turnpikes closed. Another story was the wicked winds which gusted well over 60mph causing white out conditions and near zero visibility along with considerable blowing and drifting snow as seen in the short video. Snow drifts were as high as 5 feet in some areas. Incoming and outgoing travelers were stranded in the snow with travel impossible on many roadways. Some had to sleep at malls and other nearby locations. in the end, a white Christmas was experienced in Oklahoma City and the storm as a whole sure made a memorable experience for all.
