So how does the receipt printer or credit card reader connect to the iPad? Would that be done wirelessly via bluetooth/802.11 or through the USB interface?

@temasongu , you connect to the hardware via an wireless modem that the printer plugs into through an ethernet cable. The iPad is fully wireless, but usually has a connection for power. Yes. When the sale is complete the cash drawer will pop open and you have the option to print a receipt. This register has full cash drawer management features including cash drop and payout.

This version cannot be used in a supermarket yet. This is designed for coffee shops, bakeries, or other simple quick serve environments. There is no barcode scanning yet and credit card processing will not be available until March.
