Music in the background always creeped me out.

I absolutely love The Shining. But don't know why people are so shocked at the use of the n word. That's how they referred to black people, unfortunately. It's not a good thing but it's certainly nothing new. This scene is during the late 20's and this movie was made during the late 70's and released in1980.

acting at its perfection, genial plot ;))

This movie will always generally scare the shit out of me. That is certain.

the n word is appropriate for this scene. it is being used in this scene by a demonic spirit who has possessed Jack.

*chills*.
"You've ALWAYS been the caretaker, I would know. I've ALWAYS been here"
-
I always thought Grady had said, "Meager," not Nigger.
-
It's also a beautiful time warp, because, the songs from Ray Noble and his Orchestra, are from the 1930s, the picture seen at the end is one of the 1920s.

Whenever jack is speaking with a ghost, there are always mirrors present. @RusPrideAK
Well if you look at the picture at the end of the film the date is something like 1921 or 1929, at that time it was perfectly exeptable to say 'Niggers'. By the way I loved how you showed out rage towards racism by using a racist slur 'Pinkys' By hey I don't play the race card because I'm more mature than that.
