My grandmother actually wrote the lyrics to this song. She wrote it about my grandfather when she was pregnant with my mother, who was born in 54. She sent it in to an agency to be published, but my grandfather would not give her the $20 to get it a patent I guess you would say. Anyways, she is gone now but had the original of what she sent in, it's probably somewhere in the house. So, since there was no legal binding to the lyrics, it was open for anyone to take.

I have always liked Roy but I thought he was just a okay singer. This is the best I have ever heard him sing. Outstanding!!!!...Great talent Roy!!

What is a "best singer" anyway? Roy's voice is perfect for his projects. Can you see Pavarotti in 'The Who'? How about Pavarotti on Hee Haw? It's all relative. There's no "best" guitar or "best" microphone. How could Roy have better voice? An listener is free to choose what he likes, but it's relative to the person's taste. Roy's voice is exactly as it should be and his delivery is spot on. Thanks so much for posting this incredible performance.
