FPS lag centers around your processes running and how much CPU memory usage they're forcing your ram to run. I'm sure by now people already acknowledge the trick that's turning halo.exe in processes into Realtime/High priority and going towards your recording program whether it by fraps, gamecam, or in my case hypercam for this video and right-clicking and changing the priority to low. Now what I haven't told people yet is about Explorer.exe.Under many circumstances, the Explorer.exe process uses an EXCESSIVE number of CPU cycles when Windows is even idle, for the nimrods Explorer.exe is basically your computer, your windows;and as a result, games that require an extensive amount of mem-usage slow down(fps lag). NOTE: To view the CPU cycles that the Explorer.exe process uses, right-click a blank area on the taskbar, click Task Manager on the shortcut menu that appears, and then click the Processes tab. In this video I take down Explorer.exe and show how you can still maximize halo, explorer.exe is pretty much your Windows from icons, start menu, everything and it takes up a lot of memory usage even when your casually playing a game thus decreases your smoothness ingame. Once you delete the process you'll still have halo.exe in task manager and still can open it and after your done with halo it shows me going to task manager--- File---New task--- and type in "explorer.exe" to get it running again. This trick should help A LOT if people don't like recording because it rapes their fps. It also helps even if your not recording and want smoother gameplay

You might as well download
Gamebooster, it's a program that defrags your ram memory, closes out of unnecessary processes and services, among other things that speed up your computer's performance.
It also does everything in this video but made simpler.
