As for Tyr - their music appears to be more closely connected with rock than metal, that's why I decided not to take this band into consideration. Viking rock is also a huge genre, so maybe you all everything-what's-viking-familiar fans make some effort and make your own work.

To all unsatisfied grumblers:
I would never call Amon Amarth a viking metal band. I realise it is easy to be taken in by their long beards, great shiny cover arts with glorious hammers and storms etc. The music industry tells you it's more viking than anything else, the pretentious lyrics makes all clear. it's catchy, nice and very melodic. Now listening to melodic death metal with some 'viking' melodies makes you a viking metal fan, why to pay more attention to this genre? Fail
