SRS Date Set!

Hey everybody. I just had my consultation with my SRS surgeon, Christine McGinn, up in Pennsylvania. After discuss all the surgery/pre-op/post-op/etc information, we moved on to dates. I thought all of the August dates were taken up, but apparently not!

Sooo, I'll be getting SRS on August 18th, 2009. :)

Sweetheart, Dr McGinn is not a known SRS surgeon, how many cases has she performed? how many of her post op results have you seen? think very carefully, SRS can not be re-done, Dr Suporn is the best in the world, with his own tecnique (chonburi flap + scrotal graft) dont be phased by travelling to Thailand is a beatiful country and people, and the medical care is second to none! whatever you do i wish you all the best,

You assume I have not done my research. In all the searches I have done, the top two in the U.S. are McGinn and Bowers.

Furthermore, there is not just *one* surgeon acceptable for this surgery. To think so is absurd. Its like thinking there is only one band worthy of playing music or one dentist appropriate to manage your dental care.

There are many surgeons out there just as skill as Suporn and I dislike those people who think he is the only one worthy of the title. I know what I'm doing.

I had the same old rant 2 years ago and was actually told that 'I would be a second rate TS if I didn't go to Suporn' Christ, I nearly split my sides at this collective of aged TS's that looked mainly like Ernest Borgnine in drag ranting at me. You did wisely, Angel. You researched and made your own choice - well done.  And that's all we can do. Who really needs 8" depth Plus - unless you want to rent out storage? or be a Drugs Courier?

I'll be getting surgery by Mcginn august 19and will be staying at the ramada next to lower bucks hospital, maybe we'll chance meet there while I'm at the ice machine?! haha

@transtastic - Yes, and I'm sick and tired of listening to the same old rant in the UK over and over again. Suporn, Suporn, Suporn. Well, I went to Dr Chetawutt. And I got as good as any SRS possible. Dr Suporn is NOT the only surgeon and people are allowed to go to whom they want. Thailand is a beautful country, and I recovered swiftly - unlike the Suporn lot that take ages to recover and for what? The sake of saying....oooh, I got 8" depth and you only got 6"? LOL.

We're arriving August 16th (Sunday) and staying til the 29th or 30th. And actually, no. My dad is 82 and my mom is 65. You'd be more than welcome to visit. I'll be at Lower Bucks; what about you?

I think I will be coming in on August 22 (Saturday)... I am probably at least as old as your parents (I'm 58) so maybe I can visit... will you be in the Doylestown Hospital or at Lower Bucks, or do you know yet? I can suggest some places maybe... Let me know, ok?

I don't know anyone in the area, but my parents will be with me for all 2 weeks. I think they're looking into one of the hotels around the hospital. Thats about the best we can do. :-\

Where are you going to stay when you get out of the hospital? Do you know anyone there? My ex-sister in law is taking me in for a week... she lives in North Wales, which is 20-30 minute drive to New Hope... Let me know, I may be able to steer you somewhere, ok? And, I think shity will be putting it mildly! : P
