Such a cute, lovely lady she was, truly legendary.
-
She never left her home later in life and this presentation was done in her upstairs bedroom.
-
This woman is a relic from a time when Hollywood was truly magic.
-
seriously, I cried while watching it.
-
I believe Pickfair was torn down, which is sad. However, I don't know if it would have worked as a museum. Pickford's films, we hope, will find their way on DVD so that new generations will know why she was so popular.

You're disgustingly shallow to be insulting her HOUSE.
I doubt you have a multi-million dollar worth mansion in California.
-
She will always be Toronto's "Best Girl"!
-
@Wiesshund Judging from the tour of that mansion, it looks like she was really hurting.
-
Mary was the first star to put her hands and footprints at Grauman's Chinese theatre in hollywood
-
She looks great in all of her pictures

This video is from 1976, Mary was 84 with failing health, she died in 1979 of a fatal stroke.
I believe she had one or more previous strokes prior to her death.
Her latter years are sad actualy, she was a nice lady and used her stature and influence to help lots of people.
It's sad none of those people could have helped her when she was in need.
