This is the eighth and highest launch to date with the on-board cam. Its a two stage rocket called Snubby that I fully designed and built myself.I'm usung Estes D12-0 for the booster and a D12-7 for the sustainer. I'm using the Estes Oracle nose cone for the camera. If you look close enough you can see the separation and the booster fall away. My adventure to see how high I can send this camera is only beginning.

  • Did you find the booster section or do you have to build another each time?

  • Ya i found it on this one but i have lost the booster secton twce so far out of 8 launches.

  • This rocket is using the direct staging system. I'm using estes black powder D-12-0 for the booster and a D-12-7 for the sustainer so once the booster is burned out it breaches the bulkhead and sends burning propellant fragments into the sustainer motor which ignites it.

  • k-1100 and k-700...wow that would be cool. do you have a video for it? What altitude did it reach?
