  • @Jag I did a comparison of my remastered TFD and yours last nite before I went to bed. The main difference is that mine has more mid range and bass which really adds to the impact of the bass, tom toms and bass drums. By comparison, yours is very clean and pure.

Big Band Stereo is a very nice album overall with TFD, Concerto to End All Concertos and Omo Ado being the standouts. I'll be happy to send you a copy of my remastered Big Band Stereo.

    My e/m is comtad@hotmail.com.

  • @Gefreiter44 Thanks, you are the best...I sent you an email addy.

  • Man alive, does this ever bring back sweet memories!!! I first heard this when my Dad bought a Capitol album called "Big Band Stereo" SW1055 way back in the very early days of stereo, 1957. This album also has Kenton's original "Concerto to End All Concertos" in stereo and a terrific Johnny Richards big band performing "Omo Ado." I remastered this album onto cd several years ago.

Thanks sooooo much for your remaster. It sounds terrific!!!!

  • @Gefreiter44 Glad you enjoyed this track. Lots of people mention "Big Band Stereo" SW1055. Since you remastered this album to CD, I sure would like to hear it. Especially the two tracks that you claim to be original. The LP copies that I got a hold of did'nt even stay in the groove. (wallhangers) ..try to post them on youtube and I will be the first one to listen. Thanks again ... Jag

  • Dan Ingram used the last few minutes of this number as his closing theme on both WABC in the 60s-70s and WCBS-FM in the 80s-2000s. And on both stations, the news always followed!

  • @Avatar610 I remember that like it was yesterday, this is why I posted this restoration for all of us Dan Ingram fans from way back then. I got a new two transistor Radio for my birthday back then and this was the first thing I heard on it. So, how does it sound?
