You should do whatever makes you more happy. If you don't want to continue what you're doing then stop. We'll all understand I wouldn't want to keep doing something I hate doing. I love making my videos on my channel, I don't find Lets Plays on pokemon fun anymore though games I still like, just not recording them.
Anyways, I support whatever decision you make. If you make a secret channel starting over is always fun.
Sorry about your Mom, I really hope she'll be fine.
