    It is ironic how Franz Hal paint his patrons in dark colors just like the loads of peat they gave him for charity. Almost feels like an insult.

    while i dont know that i agree with some things he is saying, i think on a whole level, he isnt disbanding a lot of the paintings now, he even states that he doesnt mean to say that if you see the original, you should only be impressed that it is the original. He is stating that the ideas you formulate can be manipulated by the fact that you dont see things as a whole or in its original content. there is no way around "time" as you are stating.
