Nazi greed was not satisfied by the seizure of countries and the enslavement or murder of civilian populations but also the wholesale plundering of valuables as explained in these films.

Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

In Konigsburg Castle the Germans had stored in the cellars the Amber Room from St.Peterburg,bullion they took from Belgium,vast amounts of other treasures from Europe.When the Russians invaded they couldn't remove the treasures,the castle was blown to bits,after the Russians took Konigsburg the castle mysteriously burnt down.They bulldozed the site and built the "Building of the Soviets" over it.To hide the fact they had destroyed these treasures.A recent dig unearth a small cache of jewelry.

@silver760 The mystery of the amber room is I think the stuff of legend but goes back further than that. I think the Koenigsburg story is a legend - like many other places where it is said to be!
