Ares 1-X Launch: Launch till splashdown

The short mission of Ares I-X is complete! Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana is congratulating the launch team and everyone involved in today's success. "I'm just so proud of each and every one of you," he said. "Outstanding job."

Jeeze, shes a BIG girl....and from what I hear this one is just the little sister. The Ares V is bigger than a Saturn V(which i believe is the biggest rocket ever created)...anyone know the Ares V test date?

@sgtgiggles currently, Obama is planning to shut down the Constellation program, including the Ares-I and Ares-V rockets.

But the Senate still has to vote about it so it isn't sure it's going through.

With the current planning, the Ares-V will make it's first test flight in 2019/20. But that it likely to slip some years later.

What makes you think he is going too? If anything he looks like the kind of guy to increase it. BTW, since 61 till 69 the presidents - Kennedy & Johnson - were democrats. You know what had US achieved during that time, don't you?
