The public vehemently condemn the statements made by the Opposition candidate betraying the war heroes, who achieved victory and secured the motherland by shedding their blood and sacrificing their lives.

The Opposition candidate is attempting to take the security personnel, who bravely served at the battlefield, to the war tribunal without considering their great service.

The public in one voice say that these attempts should be defeated in the name of the motherland.

More than 6000 Security Forces personnel sacrificed their lives during the humanitarian operations, which commenced from Mawilaru and concluded after the assassination of the worlds deadliest terrorist leader on the 18th of May this year. The names of these war heroes, who fought against the enemy without considering any obstacles, have been written in golden letters. The Sri Lankan citizens daily recall this great achievement of the war heroes. All patriots voiced together this shameless attempt of the common Opposition candidate, which was taken to betray the war heroes, should be routed.
