Well, I don't know anything at all about electric guitars....but pertaining to acoustics, the Gibson J-200 has a hella AWESOME sound. The J-200 is expensive, but worth it. That said, I am not a huge fan of there lower-end acoustics....many are made in asia and just have the Gibson name slapped on later.

This was a great TV show. (Made in America). Awesome tour of the Gibson guitar plant. This show also did an episode where they went to the Fender guitar plant. It was pretty cool as well. I don't think that that episode in on YouTube though. I can't find it anyway.

amen to that. all the under rated guitar companies are so awesome compared to the "big dogs". i bought a schecter omen 6 for $299. i havent picked up my Gib SG since. dont get me wrong i love my SG but this thing kicks my ass lol
