Occupy Orlando: Orlando PD Arrests Peaceful Protesters for Gathering Legally 10/22/11

In the early morning hours of October 22, 2011, 14 Orlando Police patrol cars and an arrest van pulled up to Senator Beth Johnson Park in Downtown Orlando. They did not come to keep the peace or to serve and protect. They came to suppress the free speech and peaceable assembly rights of the Occupy Orlando movement by illegally arresting over 20 people who were peacefully demonstrating by sitting together in a circle and holding hands. This was done in direct, blatant violation of their First Amendment Rights. Shame and condemnation upon the Orlando PD, the City of Orlando, and on Mayor Buddy Dyer. You've all forgotten who you work for.

When a group puts out a list of demands that removes individual responsibility and lays the responsibility of cradle to grave entitlements that is Counter to the Constitution. Their list included the removal of property rights and guns. How much more counter Constitution do you get. Now try asking an honest question.

@sccnws86 Are you an Orlando Protestor? have you even met them? You cant make false claims on a mindful opinion. I know a couple orlando occupiers and they sure as hell know what their fighting for, i'm from chuluota, small town being figuratively raped by the realty industry. when there are other land masses that are open for them. though i would love to join the march, i cannot due to financial issues. Protesting should not be limited by law. a protest is a protest, you should have your say.

GET A LIFE! I appreciate the right to a peaceful assembly just as anyone else...but half the people DO NOT even know what they are there for.

ALSO ... THERE WAS NO VIOLENT acts committed by the police. They are there to do their job, something most of the occupy Orlando protesters know NOTHING about! So get a life... LEARN the law..and Jesus... quit repeating yourself so much in the video! It gets annoying after the 1st 20 times.
