Yes, I know many people has uploaded this game's video on YouTube however last times some people can't believe the game works on regular ZX Spectrum 128K.

So it works. Therefore this video is different than others: on the beginning I loaded Computer Tester to display what machine is that (ZX Spectrum 128+). Then I reset it and loaded DOOM game via diskdrive.

Yes, it slows down when a hero opens the door (it's because Russian Spectrum - Pentagon - has a bit more tacts on its 3,5Mhz CPU) but still works fine on normal ZX Spectrum 128 and its 3,5Mhz CPU.

However please don't expect Pentium effects. :)
That's still old good ZX Spectrum 8-bit computer.

It's a game for diskdrive but if You wanna load and test it on real Spectrum128, then there has been made a snapshot:

Why are eastern europeans so fond of ZX spectrum and clones? Is it because they didn't have access to x86 PC until 1990's?

Well, I don't know much about eastern European countries, but that's true ZX Spectrum was very popular even in 90s, in those countries - Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and so on.

Here, in central Europe we had in early 90s mostly Amiga500 machines and PC 386 machines. Spectrum scene was almost dead in 90s here. :(

Another thing is, that ZX Spectrum before 90s was far better for games than crude x86 computers (Spectrum had mostly the same titles that Amiga had in that time, while PC hadn't.

Well, it's nice but the VIC-20 does it better. :P

Seriously though, it's just too cool what these old 8 bitters can do. Love 8 bit computers.

The Imps in this game look like the soul harvesters from the Psycophobia wad, probs where the design came from

Wow... impressive... porting Doom to such a restricted hardware is an amazing feat!

Why must people always mention skyrim on every unrelated game video, also I honestly find that game disappointing compaired to the previous three games in that series.

Apparently this Doom takes place in a dance club instead of Phobos.
