The San Damiano Foundation is a Franciscan based non-profit. A part of our mission is to create greater awareness of poverty. This video was shot on site in Uganda, and then edited in our studios in the United States. At the time the children were discovered (during filming for a movie), there was very little known about them including their gender. As their story unfolded, our former president, Gerry Straub was able to include that information as a voiceover in the YouTube video above.
