Demonstrates how easy it is to lose sight of the insidious power of religious identifications and faiths (of all types). 18 Muslim men were arrested in Canada for terrorist plotting (involving the procurement of tons of explosive material of the Oklahoma City bombing type). A poll revealed that 12% of the Canadian Muslim population thought such a bombing of Canadian people would have been "somewhat" (7%) or "completely" (5%) justified.

The only people I know of who think like that in America are fundamentalist Christians. So I started the video with that classic comedy duet by Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, two days after 9/11.

  • 55% of Americans think the war in Iraq was justified and they voted that way. 55% of Americans are guilty of murder.

  • If you put false evidence before a jury, most juries will vote guilty even if the punishment is execution. Is the jury guilty of murder?

  • Satan is not real. Islam is just another crackpot religion. All religions are founded on nonsense and are therefore essentially the same.

  • You're all insane. ALL religion is nonsense. Your god is not real. Go get an education.

  • Choices Choices which to follow Sharia Law or the law of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. Do we really have to choose one?

  • What statistic do you have to back this... "most

    juries"... up?

  • Good one..

  • Failed to show a poll on what the rest of

    the country thinks...

Maybe if you polled the millions of other people they'd think the government sucks and the percentage might have been 8-10%...

Ask ANY group of people, christian, buddhists,

and you'd have a mass of them supporting

one view and another supporting another.

Remember Americans were stupid enough to

vote Bush in twice... Now they put in a bank

    employee in power. (Obama)

Poll any group and you'd have a varied reading.

  • did that thing say 'LOL' in the end?

  • I think that nationalist loyalty is just as dangers as religious. I think it is foolish to think that Muslims want to kill only because their religion. Their disputes over land are not related to religion. But I do agree about the danger of sharia law. that is something all the religions have in common.

  • A flag is to it's country is to it's laws.

You leave your flag and country you left your laws. Piss and moan and get tossed out on your ass.

  • you think they were just sitting around all peaceful-like minding their own buisness in Iraq...don't you?
