The FACTS are 80% of illegal people in this country, especially(most likely 100%) along the Mexican border look like brown skinned people, Sorry, but it a FACT not profiling. What if everyone in the US was checked for citizenship deporting the non-citizen, guess that would be OK, sounds like a plan. As an American I'll check out my area and report back. I was arrested for not having ID and was held in jail till the cops could verify, I did nothing wrong, but understood why, I'm white American

@plumnow If we deport every undocumented person it would cost more than the Iraq war.12 million X the cost of one deportation. Add mandatory jail costs under SB1070. It's Big Government spending at its worst. Amnesty would help solve our financial problems. Do some math before you respond. Study a bit. It's not even affordable.It kind of takes the sport out of criminalizing those only working hard for what you were lucky enough to be born with. You deserve nothing more then the least of us.

@Humanleague002 - You have been deceived. The only thing amnesty will "cure" is corporate America's dimisnihing profits (if we could call it that). They want to create product demand based on increasing population, which decreases the income for everyone. Look around you: no companies are creating new jobs: at least not enough to offset the job losses we have experienced in recent years. Food consumption per capita is the same, while wages down!

@plumnow You're making assumptions about illegal people because 80% of the people you know of to be illegal are brown-skinned. 50% of illegals arrive here with a visa and proper papers, and then overstay. I worked with a guy who arrived on a student visa, and then went immediately to work for our company, then had to take a break until he got his H1-B. The guy had a programming job lined up, he was Chinese, and he couldn't leave the country or he couldn't get back in. Yet he was "illegal".

@Humanleague002 - Corporations are always crying about declining profits because they can never make enough profits. When no one can buy commodities, then profits automatically "decline". But the people there are to spend (on transportation and food sources), profits remain relatively stable, if not outright increasing. Or don't ILLEGALS consume food, electricity, etc.? They positively affect profit margins, and keep wages on a decline.
