This is a run of a radial fan style turbine on top of the Grim draft pulsejet. This was test to see whether a fan could be designed to use the output of a bulsejet at all without interfering with the pulsing and combustion. Also, the fan was sized by calculation to turn about 4000 RPM with the estimated output of the pulsejet. This was a very iffy calculation, with a lot of assumptions. The fan/turbine had a few problems -- it expanded in the heat and contacted the case, and it was mounted in this preliminary test somewhat above the pulsejet outlet, and with a much wider square opening. There was a lot of backflow out of the turbine because of this loose connection.

Nevertheless, it seems very successful, and spun up to 3000 RPM with the pulsejet running at a comfortable "cruise" throttle -- you can see the red glow of the combustion chamber.

I have a feeling with the right connection, and work on the case and bearing lubrication, it will achieve its designed RPM.
