Red Light Runner..Right turn.

This is a problem in Saint Petersburg Florida. People not stopping when making a right turn. This person had a "No right turn light" but turns anyway, and just about hits the bus I was driving. They didn't even slow down and just about everyone ignores the light. This is at Gandy Blvd and 4th St. North and I was turning west on to Gandy. It seem like the authorities have a blind eye to this problem and that maybe it will just go away. How many accidents or how many people have to get hurt before they decide to do something about it. I have emailed this to the Mayor, City Council and the County Commissioners but like always nothing will probably ever be done about it. They need to put cameras up at this intersection..I'll let you know what they do..Don't you just love our Government.

Maybe i'll do another video and show more red light runners. There was a cop setting at the light the other day in car 2525 and two cars turned right on the do not turn signal and the police just went on there merry way like they usually do. They don't need more laws or cameras, just a Sheriff who will enforce the laws.

With my company it is a preventable accident as I could of stopped or moved to the other lane. That is why they need red light cameras. People don't want obey any laws so they need to do something else to protect others.

Doesn't look like they did..Just hope that when they do cause an accident and kill someone that it isn't you or someone you love or know..Those that run red lights are SICK STUPID people anyway.

Route 59 I presume? Not only did the driver of the silver SUV fail to yield to your bus but also did not even slow down. I can vouch on the subject of St Petersburg and Pinellas County as a whole as I hear of too many crashes of cars and pedestrians on our roads. Red cameras are only half the battle. We need officers on the roads to stop people like this.

I actually know that intersection. He not only had a red light but also a DO NOT TURN signal.

Good catch. If you had just stayed your ground in your lane and they hit you or you hit them wouldn't it be their fault not to mention your video evidence would seal the deal if there was a conflict of statements from you vs them?

On a more serious note, I hate people who run red lights, sometimes I just want to crash into them and drive them off thr road.
