The Discovery Channel squad, featuring standout riders George Hincapie and Yaroslav Popovych, was expected to challenge CSC for the title in Eindhoven but saw its chances slip away when a late crash involving Tomas Vaitkus and Steve Cummings left the team shorthanded with one kilometer to go. OMG , he hit exactly at the corner of the concrete , that's way to painful

I highly doubt that crash cost them the stage win. It was inside the final km. They didn't need to wait for the crashed riders. They may have paused to see what happened, but not for 23 seconds.

@gibsoncn I'm guessing they had another guy who fell off the pack and was 24 seconds behind who still had to finish. I doubt one of those guys got on a bike and finished.
