lovely...just wanted to know how far is pemayangtse monastery from hotel elgin mount pandim..is it a walking distance???...as also the rabdentse ruins.... any idea about the hotel mt.pandim>>i'll be going there shortly and would appreciate any sightseeing in and around gangtok and pelling in particular...

@drmvm35 The hotel you are referring is in Pelling.Pemayangtse and Rabdentse are on the way to Pelling from Geyzing (District HQ).From Geyzing to Pelling its around 10 KM...Its better to get a local cab.
Pelling is a beautiful city with a spectacular view of Mt Kanchejunga.Its closest you can get.Must visit near Pelling - Yuksom (Birthplace of Sikkim), Khechuperi Lake,Pemayangtse Monastery,Rabdentse Ruins and Dubdi Monastery.

@drmvm35 Must See in Gangtok- Tashi View Point, NathuLa (China Border),Chhangu,Hanuman Tok, Ganesh TokIf you get time - Char Dham,Namchi(3 hours drive from Gangtok)Hope the information is helpful.
