  • @macbrink it is allowed if it is off a counter technique or part of a combination

  • @fide9 is it really, i didnt know that... i do judo, im an orange belt witha competition coming p and i might use it IF it is allowed

  • @macbrink actually it is allowed in competition but only as a counter attack or if the opponent crosses one of his grips..

  • Very similar to a duck under take down in wrestling.

  • Not strictly true. As an attack you could do a version gripping the waist, which is less effective. And it remains a viable defence at the point at which your opponent has committed to his attack and has his back to you.
