Summer In The City

Students from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy enrolled in a two-week broadcast journalism program through CUNY's The Calandra Institute. Times Square has transformed from traffic-filled streets and overcrowded sidewalks, into a "piazza," allowing for plenty of outdoor space available for relaxation and recreation. Then, posing as tourists in need of directions,the student reporters are pleasantly surprised to find New Yorkers attentive and hospitable, contrary to popular belief.
